Bei Cyberduck handelt es sich um eine kostenlose Software, mit der sich Verbindungen zu einem Server herstellen lassen. Dabei werden die Protokolle FTP, WebDAV und SSH Secure File Transfer (SFTP) unterstützt.

Im Vergleich zu Konkurrenzprodukten, beispielsweise das quelloffene FileZilla, macht Cyberduck optisch einen bunteren Eindruck. Es sind alle wichtigen Funktionen enthalten, beispielsweise eine Lesezeichenverwaltung, Upload und Download mittels Drag & Drop sowie die Möglichkeit, eine Web-URL zu einer Datei auf einem bestimmten Ordner zu generieren.

Xftp is an SFTP/FTP client with a direct edit, multiple panes, folder synchronization, 3rd party editor integration, and more.

Xftp works similar to most FTP clients, so there's nothing different or unusual about getting started. A sessions window will appear on the first run allowing you to create a new connection. Optionally you can check a box anytime the sessions windows is open to show it at startup. We couldn't find a quick connect for basic connections to free FTP sites until after we setup our first connection.

DoggyFtp was designed as a basic, no-frills, lightweight FTP client.

Most people, like us, tend to use a full featured FTP client, like FlashFXP. But, what about the guy (or gal) who just need to connect VIA FTP once in a great while? This is where DoggyFTP comes into play. You can download, upload & delete as well as run multiple instances of DoggyFTP but that's about it.

You can enter all the details to connect, but there's no saving of your favorite sites or logins, but it can save your passwords. The option to select your preferred local and remote folders are there as well as a log file of any failed operations which can be saved as a text file. Missing is a simple Anonymous login that would be a nice feature for this application.
