Bei Cyberduck handelt es sich um eine kostenlose Software, mit der sich Verbindungen zu einem Server herstellen lassen. Dabei werden die Protokolle FTP, WebDAV und SSH Secure File Transfer (SFTP) unterstützt.

Im Vergleich zu Konkurrenzprodukten, beispielsweise das quelloffene FileZilla, macht Cyberduck optisch einen bunteren Eindruck. Es sind alle wichtigen Funktionen enthalten, beispielsweise eine Lesezeichenverwaltung, Upload und Download mittels Drag & Drop sowie die Möglichkeit, eine Web-URL zu einer Datei auf einem bestimmten Ordner zu generieren.

- The code that checks that the peer's data connection IP address matches the control connection IP had been nonfunctional. Vulnerability discovered and reported by Amit Klein
- Added option to force TLS session resumption on the data connection to prevent data connection stealing
- FileZilla Server now randomizes the port used for passive mode transfers to mitigate data connection stealing when using plain FTP
- Added diagnostic message to the administration interface if FTP over TLS is disabled and if the configured certificate is expired or otherwise invalid
- Added diagnostic message to the administration interface if no passive mode IP has been configured and the server appears to be behind a NAT router

With SFTP Net Drive you can work with the remote file system as if it were a local disk drive, given that the remote system supports SFTP protocol. SFTP protocol provides an encrypted channel for file upload and download and also for remote file and directory operations (such as create and delete directories, move and rename files etc).
