In the preferences, the auto-hide option should be enabled by default (unless you previously disabled it--maybe before BleachBit version 1.0.)
Toggle the auto-hide option in the preferences. All of the cleaners that are hidden should not preview or clean anything. For example, if Google Chrome is hidden (when auto-hide is enabled), then cleaning Google Chrome (after disabling auto-hide) should show zero files were cleaned.

Specific to Windows:

Verify BleachBit does not crash on startup. (This happened before when %USERPROFILE\Local Settings\temp\ did not exist.)
Uninstall BleachBit. Then install BleachBit in silent mode twice using the command BleachBit-1.5.2-setup.exe /S After each installation, BleachBit should be installed and operational, and the installer should not prompt you to do anything. The reason for doing it twice is the second installation implies an uninstallation of the already-installed version.
In the Control Panel under Add/Remove Programs, verify the application version (1.5.2) is shown.

Network Activity Indicator displays the old 'two monitors' icon in Windows 7 that flashed blue to show network activity on the System Tray. Unlike the original Windows XP utility (that has individual indicators for each interface), this program indicates outgoing and incoming network packets on all available interfaces.

Using

This utility is a standalone executable. Run the program, you'll see a new system tray icon.
Now you can monitor your network traffic in Windows 7 using XP-like 'two monitors' icon in the System Tray.
To customize program settings right click the mouse on the System Tray icon.

AdwCleaner versucht Adware, Toolbars und eine veränderte Homepage im Browser zu entfernen. Dazu wird zuerst ein Suchlauf gestartet und im Anschluss erhält man eine TXT-Datei mit den Ergenissen angezeigt. Sollten mehrere Sachen gefunden werden, kann man leider nicht einzeln auswählen, was gelöscht werden soll. Einzig vor dem Suchlauf hat man die Möglichkeit, bestimmte Sachen auszuschließen. Dazu klickt man oben Links auf das Fragezeichen->Optionen.

"Why Can't I Connect" makes it easier to resolve TCP/IP connection errors. Use it to diagnose connections to common server types and create generic clients and / or servers. A source tar, a 32 bit rpm, a 32 bit deb, and a 32 bit Windows install exe are available.

The 32 bit Windows executable runs fine in 64 bit Windows systems. 64 bit Linux systems, however, should compile from source.
