Bootice is a portable utility that allows you to modify, backup and restore the MBR (Master Boot Record) and the PBR (Partition Boot Record) of local or removable drives. MBR refers to the first sector of a partitioned drive, while PBR implies the part that allows booting.

The application is intended for professional users, yet provides a tab-based interface, which makes it easy to handle even by the less experienced. With this tool, you can easily change your MBR / PBR sections to another type. It supports multiple different boot records, ranging from Grub4DOS, UltralSO or Plop Boot Manager to BOOTMGR or SYSLinux.

The partition numbering style has changed back to Grub4Dos style. That's to say, the primary partitions have indexs 0,1,2,3, and the logical partitions indexs from 4. The partition index in the command line parameter "/device=m:n" is changed to this manner, too.
Fixed a bug that causes the "write failed" problem whem perfoming a sector restoring from command line under Windows Vista or later OS (Notes: The sectors in the system partition could not be edited due to the system protection).

AdwCleaner versucht Adware, Toolbars und eine veränderte Homepage im Browser zu entfernen. Dazu wird zuerst ein Suchlauf gestartet und im Anschluss erhält man eine TXT-Datei mit den Ergenissen angezeigt. Sollten mehrere Sachen gefunden werden, kann man leider nicht einzeln auswählen, was gelöscht werden soll. Einzig vor dem Suchlauf hat man die Möglichkeit, bestimmte Sachen auszuschließen. Dazu klickt man oben Links auf das Fragezeichen->Optionen.
