Release Notes

This update dedicated to revision of the code. This is security measure (we do it on a regular basis) to make sure that the program meets today's industry standards and guidelines. Also, the security code signing certificate has been updated. There were no general changes to the interface or functionality (except few small bug fixes), but we confirm that the program still in good shape and up to date.

Updated german translations, many thanks to our volunteers!
Error reporting has been disabled, the program will now not report any error to our server. This will protect your privacy and reduce amount of system resources required for the program.
Some visual improvements in the user interface.
Interval of notification about new version has been changed. Previously it was once per 30 days, now it is once per 6 month. Less annoying messages for you.

Fixed issue with the program crash on some Windows 7 even with correct password.
Fixed issue when the user saw blank window after entering correct password for the secret disk.
Fixed issue with incorrect text of the message in the program window.
Added flow control to prevent hung up of the program in case of running antivirus.
Program codes were re-compiled and re-signed to improve security.

In this release I have fixed only one bug which was found in common code of all programs. It is not related to security or appearance of Hidden Disk, nor it is related to the interface. The problem was in background procedure which is responsible for correct detection of browser which is set by default. Thus, some of you may see error while opening Hidden Disk using Explorer. This issue has been fixed now.

This update includes just few changes and one new function, however, this is a huge change, take a look:

Improved design, more intuitive for Windows 10.
New feature: you can change color of text and background (see preferences area). This option gives you a chance to customize design of the program.

    This release fixes some bugs which were found in previous version and we have added one convenient function (button).
    As you know, previously, we have added an option to choose color of the interface. Some of you were confused choosing from millions of colors, and, as a result they made their program look ugly. With this release we are adding third button to the preferences of the program which will allow you to reset color settings to their defaults. If you don't like you choice of color just click Reset button and everything will be back to normal.

    This update brings two important new features:

    Introducing new feature: hardware acceleration! You can now choose to increase the speed which is used to open or close secret disk by using hardware acceleration. In our tests the time reduced from 10 seconds to just 1 or even less. We have tested this on several hundreds computers of beta users and they confirm fantastic increase of speed. This feature will be available to PRO users only.
    New code signing certificate added because the old one is going to expire soon. This is technical, routine procedure, but this is related to security, so its very important. If you will not update secret disk to this version, then, after expiration of an old certificate, probably, you wont be able to use the secret disk.

- Neues Symbol des Programms hinzugefügt ! Es ist jetzt blau und sehr schön, die erste Version war eine Beta-Testversion und wir wollten sie ersetzen.
- Versionsinformationen im Einstellungsbereich hinzugefügt .
- Neue kostenlose Option im Einstellungsbereich hinzugefügt - Alle anderen Festplatten außer der ersten ausblenden. Diese Option bezieht sich nur auf die Benutzeroberfläche. Wenn Sie keine anderen Festplatten verwenden, können Sie diese vor dem Hauptbildschirm ausblenden und die Benutzeroberfläche übersichtlicher gestalten.
- Verbesserter Hauptbildschirm - Neue Benutzer können leicht verstehen, was sie tun müssen.

FEHLERBEHEBUNG

- Fehler behoben, wenn beim Versuch, das Symbol der Festplatte zu ändern, ein leerer Ordner angezeigt wird. Jetzt zeigt unsere Software einen Ordner mit einer Reihe von Bildern an, die Sie verwenden können, wie es sein sollte.
- Ein Software-Absturz beim Zugriff auf eine zuvor getrennte Festplatte wurde behoben.
- Software-Absturz behoben, wenn eine andere virtuelle Festplatte über eine Drittanbieter-App verbunden wurde.
- Einige Skripte im Zusammenhang mit Datenanalysen wurden entfernt, sodass die Software etwas schneller funktioniert.


    NEW FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS:

    Added new icon of the program! It's now blue and very nice, the first version was a beta-testing version and we do wanted to replace it.
    Added version information in the preferences area.
    Added new free option in the preferences area - hide all other disks, except the first one. This option related only to th interface - if you don't use other disks - you can hide them from the main screen and make interface cleaner.
    Improved main screen - new users can easily understand what they need to do.
    Improved interface of common dialog boxes.

    BUG FIXES:

    Fixed bug when you see empty folder when trying to change icon of the disk. Now, our software shows folder with a set of images that you can use, as it should be.
    Fixed software crash during access to any disk which was previously disconnected.
    Fixed software crash when some other virtual disk connected by third-party app.
    Removed several scripts related to data analysys, thus, software will work a little bit faster.

    Added function to reset activation for owners of Professional version. You can now easily transfer your license to another computer.
    Improved interface of window used for activation of software.
    Improved error reporting system.
    Improved temporary storage, we no longer using system's temp folder, instead of it we have our own, which have less compatibility problems and security issues.
    Improved installation procedure: you can now choose application language and location of the shortcuts during setup in a more convenient way.

    BUG FIXES AND REMOVED FUNCTIONS:

    Fixed several small, but annoying bugs.
    Fixed issue when the form always jumps to the center of screen, even if you have changed it's position.

    Improved design of the user interface.
    Improved location of main buttons on the main screen. Information has been moved down and not disturb you too much.
    Improved notification period for messages about upgrading to Professional version. Previously, reminder window appeared every time. Now, it will appear once per 3 days, and only for days when you have used this software. This is very good news for users who wants to keep using our software for free.

- Neue Option hinzugefügt , um den "Tippeffekt" zu deaktivieren, den Sie in der Titelleiste sehen, während das Programm Szenen lädt oder ändert.     Added new option to turn off "typing effect" which you see in the title bar while the program loading or changing scenes. You can find this option by clicking system menu icon on the top right side of the program's window, then click menu option "About the app". This option can improve performance of slow computers or you can turn it off if you simply don't like it.
    Improved english translations.
    Improved system menu (right top corner of an app window). Added few new options: language switcher and "About" window with general information about the app.
    Improved programming code in the few main functions for better performance.
    Improved settings screen - we have removed many duplicate controls from it and it looks now clean and nice. You can find all removed controls in the menu "About the app", which is located under icon on the right top side of the program's window.

    Added new function to search for software updates manually. At any time, as you wish. You can access this option from the menu which is available under icon at the top right corner of an app's window. Note that automatic updates also enabled, thus there is no need to use this new option until you want it "right here, right now"...

    BUG FIXES AND REMOVED FUNCTIONS:

    Fixed bug when disabled typing effect result in overload of title bar.
    Fixed bug that displays wrong version number in "About" window.
    Removed encryption module; it was never used (less code - less bugs).

    Removed almost 4K of programming code that was useless. This will improve performance and reduce software conflicts.
