@silcener: about the freezes after long use of multimon. I have the feeling this happens when changing multimon settings within the program without closing and then going, not sure as it's difficult for me te reproduce and retrace steps as it happens so occasionally. Can you find any consisteny in this?

tried the new beta setup...

the decidebuffer error is unfortunately not gone in use with the vmr 9 renderer (XP)...

yesterday evening a took a short look at the new beta under win 7 x64 ... when i set ´reload channel on monitor change´ in the option dialog ...changing to fullscsreen on secondend montitor and vice versa almost working good...without ...mostly i get a blank / freeze frame ...

hmm , when i use multimon ... also after a long time running ...i have no further problems about it ...

For me its only the changing sequenze to the second monitor and vice versa ...

I'm working hard on fixing the bugs i can here and even couldn't help it to add some things also :-).
Shame about the decidebuffer, i thought the new smartavsrc.ax would help, i'll look further into it.
Still tuning the multimon, seems to be getting better. I'll try putting up a new test in the morning.
You say mostly freeze, but if you change video after the freeze it's okay (without reloading the channel).
If so it's probably just a refresh bug i'm still optimizing that with evr due to all the windows
changes i made recently to get multimon working correctly.

yes ...it looks like its only the monitor changing sequence is a problem ...after that ...its all fine

okay, i'm sending you the latest build i have here, have less probs now with multimon it seems (perhaps only after changing codecs and continuing with multimon i have some locks, but this could also just depend on specific codecs that have problems with the multimon, cyberlink still is the kindest to me).
Still testing myself a bit here. And also need to still look at xp after fixing all things i want in win7.

hiho , here are the results in use of win xp

i´m sorry ..i can´t see any difference to the old version ...

the decidebuffer error is is still there in use with the vmr 9 renderer (XP)... and with vmr 7 its the same ...

and when i use the evr renderer ...the reload option is still necessary...otherwise i get a blank / freeze frame ... mostly

hmmm, in use of win 7 its the same story ...the only difference is ...that in use of vmr 9 ... multimon use results in a crash of smartdvb ..

oh that's odd, could be codec related, are u sure the crash is with the same codec as you were using before in that combination? Still want to test xp more thorough, but difficult for me as i have to get it working in vmware again and have problems getting my prof7500 recognized in vmware, still need to look at this :-(

hi silencer. Put up an xp test system and indeed, i didn't have the decidebuffer problems you mentioned but surely freezes etc. Still some bugs in the multi code it turns out. With me it now
works reasonable witn vmr9. Btw does cyberlink 10 run stable with you on evr/vmr9 in combination with xp/evr? With me not really, but then again that is not an official combi let's say :-)
I've put a test version up for you under the same link as last time (others that tested can download it there too ofcourse, not much changed besides multi and perhaps stability can still be looked at)..

well just to be sure you also can re-register smartavsrc.ax (with regsvr32.exe) that was installed with lastest beta (i've had users report problems in the past where this filter was not registered correctly). Don't really think this is your issue, otherwise you'd have other error messages. Btw i used an ati 5570 (i think) and liked the speed and stabiity on xp 32 bit once configured correctly. Ii did have quite some hangs though due to codecs not cooperating on evr mainkly it turns out here, but other apps have this too ofcourse or does smart suffer more from that in your opinion? Picture is good (also on hd-tv) of the ati card compared to the nvidia (M330) i develop on now..

For me it looks like that some older video codecs doesn´t work 100% with the evr renderer ...but also in other dvb-apps ...


Tried the new beta on both pc´s ...

pc 1 (Arbeits.- Testrechner) : looks like before ...including the decidebuffer error ...

pc 2 (HTPC) : here i get no decidebuffer error ...others things like pc 1 ...

hmm...it looks like theres is something wrong on pc 1 .... will have a deeper look at this ...but maybe it needs much time (that i doesn´t have yet) to solve  ... because this must be very special (in other dvb-apps i don´t have multimon problems)

on the other hand ... xp becomes more ans more obsolete these days ...and at last ...i can live with evr when i use xp ...

EDIT: Sometimes I get freezes of the picture, when switching from "TV and Menu" to floating window. This can be solved by going to fullscreen first and after that to floating windows.

@silencer: well, maybe it's xp 64 bit mode, i remember subtle differences in stability when i tested way back with that, but it's long ago :-)
