Antivirus Live CD is a 4MLinux fork including the ClamAV scanner.

Antivirus Live CD is designed for users who need a lightweight live CD, which will help them to protect their computers against viruses. Ethernet, WiFi, PPP, and PPPoE are supported by Antivirus Live CD to enable automatic updates of its virus signature databases. All partitions are mounted during the boot process so that they can be scanned by ClamAV. The Antivirus Live CD ISO images are fully compatible with UNetbootin, which can be used to create an easy-to-use Antivirus Live USB.

Rescatux bietet einem verschiedene Möglichkeiten zur Reparatur seines Systems.

Es können z.B. Benutzerpasswörter entfernt werden oder ein Windows-Benutzer zum Admin gemacht werden.
Ebenso kann der Bootloaders repariert und gelöschte Dateien mit Photorec wiederhergestellt werden.
Mit an Bord ist GParted, mit dem Partitionen verwaltet werden können.

Mit dieser Live-CD kann der Rechner gestartet und auf Viren überprüft werden. Beim Start hat man die Möglichkeit, die Virendefinitionen zu aktualisieren. Mit dabei sind auch noch GParted, MemTest86+ und der Chromium-Browser. Wer das Tool lieber auf einen bootfähigen USB-Stick bringen möchte, kann dazu z.B. UNetbootin nutzen.

Mit der Rescue Disk kann der Rechner nach Viren durchsucht werden, ohne das das Betriebssystem gestartet werden muss. Dazu einfach die ISO-Datei als bootfähige CD brennen und den Rechner davon starten. Unterstützt werden die Dateisysteme FAT32, NTFS, Ext2, Ext3, Ext4 und Reiser. Zusätzlich ist noch ein Dateimanager und der Firefox integriert.
