Open Broadcaster Software macht aus dem eigenen Rechner sowohl ein Fernseh- als auch ein Radio-Studio. Der kostenlose Rekorder erfasst sowohl Video- als auch Audio-Signale und überträgt diese als Live-Stream in Echtzeit in das weltweite Datennetz.

onlineTV bietet in der aktuellen Version neben mehr als 500 TV- und Radio-Sendern, die ihr Programm per Live-Stream über das Internet ausstrahlen, auch mehr als 100 Webcams und Zeitungs-Links aus der ganzen Welt. Die Anzahl lässt sich beliebig erweitern.

Weitere Features der Software: Empfangen von Polizei- und Towerfunk aus den USA, einige enthaltene Musikvideos.
Dank der integrierten Audio-Aufnahme können Sie die Radio-Sendung oder den Fernsehton als WAV-, OGG- und MP3-Datei abspeichern. Auch zeitgesteuerte Aufnahmen sind mit Hilfe des Schedulers möglich. Einzelne BMP-Dateien, so zum Beispiel die neuesten Bilder einer Webcam, lassen sich mit dem AVI-Creator zu einer Videodatei zusammenfassen.
