MobaXterm is a set of Unix commands (GNU/Cygwin) included in a single file. MobaXterm integrates an X server and some network clients such as SSH, telnet, rlogin, SFTP, etc. accessible through a tab-based terminal.

Na, erinnert ihr euch noch an die Möglichkeit, mittels Google Chrome einen fremden Rechner fernzuwarten? Lange war es ruhig um diese App, beziehungsweise dieses Feature, nun gibt es Neuerungen zu vermelden.

Neben der Fernwartung als solches findet man nun auch die Möglichkeit vor, die Zwischenablage zwischen den beiden Systemen zu teilen. Weiterhin ist auch die Übertragung von Audio unter Windows mittels der Chrome Remote-App möglich. Alternative zu Teamviewer? Nur, wenn die Gegenseite Chrome nutzt, ansonsten eher nicht.

Der TeamViewer für Windows (Desktop-App) ist in einer neuen Version 8 erschienen (Linux noch nicht), an der allerdings noch das Beta-Label prangt, wie das TeamViewer-Team via Twitter bekannt gab. Was neu ist in der Fernwartung-Software TeamViewer 8, die für den Privatanwender kostenlos ist?

Viele der Neuerungen dürften nur im Business-Umfeld nützlich sein, zum Beispiel die Sitzungsübergabe an andere Supporter. So kann man gemeinsam an einem Fall arbeiten, oder die Remote-Sitzung komplett abgeben. Weiterhin lassen sich Kommentare zu einzelnen Sitzungen hinterlegen.

Ebenfalls lassen sich ausgewählte Gruppen eines TeamViewer-Kontos gemeinsam nutzen. Solltet ihr ein TeamViewer-Konto haben, dann könnt ihr mit mehreren Supportern den Zugriff auf Gruppen teilen. Offiziell heißt es: “Betreuen Sie Ihren Kundenstamm zusammen mit Kollegen? Teilen Sie ab sofort einzelne Gruppen Ihrer Computer & Kontakte-Liste einfach im Team, damit auch Ihre Kollegen schnell Zugriff auf gemeinsame Kunden-Computer erhalten. Die Lese- oder Schreibrechte bestimmen Sie dabei individuell.”
