Beim Abgleich stehen Ihnen eine Reihe von Optionen zur Verfügung. Unter anderem lassen sich Filter für bestimmte Dateitypen, ein zeitgesteuerter Datenabgleich oder eine Routine zum Löschen von Daten, die nicht auf dem Quell-Laufwerk vorhanden sind, nutzen.

Die für den persönlichen Gebrauch kostenlose Software XXCLONE legt ein komplettes Backup einer Ihrer Festplatten-Partitionen an.

Sie müssen dafür einfach die Quell- sowie eine Ziel-Partition wählen. Dabei werden sowohl interne (IDE, SATA und SCSI) als auch externe (USB und FIREWIRE) Festplatten unterstützt.

Zusätzliche Einstellungs-Optionen wie das Anlegen einer Boot-Diskette oder die Erstellung einer Batch-Datei, in der alle Einstellungen gespeichert sind, machen XXCLONE zu einem unverzichtbaren Helfer im PC-Alltag.

Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die hohe Geschwindigkeit, mit der XXCLONE arbeitet.

One Way Mirror will mirror all Files and Directories in the Source Directory into those same-named Files and Directories in the Destination Directory. Only newer files will be copied, and no files or directories will be deleted in the Destination Directory.

Script files are also supported. These can be used to maintain a list of Source and Destination directories, and the options for sopy files from the Source to the Destination.

The drop-down lists used on One Way Mirror's interface will be maintained between application starts. In this way, a list of directories, and Script files, can be easily remembered, and re-used.

HardlinkBackup ist ein einfaches, schnelles Backup-Programm für inkrementelle Backups, das Hardlinks benutzt, Backups planen, E-Mail-Benachrichtigungen versenden und automatisch alte Backups löschen kann.

HardlinkBackup liest die Quellverzeichnisse ein und vergleicht die Dateien mit früheren Backups. Nur die geänderten Dateien werden anschließend kopiert, die unveränderten Dateien werden mit Hard-Links mit den Dateien der bereits bestehenden Backups verlinkt (Voraussetzung ist, dass das Ziellaufwerk Hardlinks unterstützt, also z.B. mit NTFS formatiert wurde). Auf diese Art und Weise befindet sich auf dem Backup-Laufwerk immer eine komplette Kopie der Quellverzeichnisse vom jeweiligen Datum. Jedoch wird nur der Platz einer Kopie plus der veränderten Dateien benötigt. Wird eine alte Backup-Kopie nicht mehr benötigt kann sie ohne Probleme entsorgt werden, indem einfach das entsprechende Backup-Verzeichnis gelöscht wird.

This new popup combines all the functionality from the older tray menu with a new view of your Dropbox's event stream, letting you see your (or other people's) latest changes. In addition, you can use the events to easily view, share, or restore files.

Keep in mind this is still a work in progress. As such, we're looking for your feedback, comments and suggestions while we iron things out.

Here are a few things you should know:

    This feature is not localized in languages other than English.
    It is only enabled on Mac OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and above, and on Windows XP and above.
    It is not enabled on Linux.
    The button to quit Dropbox has been relocated to the Preferences window.
    Tooltips are not supported inside the popup.
    Screen readers or assistive devices are not compatible with the popup.
