hello all,
i've send an update hopefully to all here, should be the last one as i've decided to not wait anymore for some american features that were being tested and holding this back (atsc-qam and some band-stacked problems, but i hope that will probably be resolved by some other american users in future). I'd like to know if standard tuning works okay still, also on which card.
best regards,
jj

Hello Jack

Just played around with your latest update for an hour or two.
Here it's working fine was well.
Tuning and scanning are OK on both tuners.

Were there any other components changed, that may need more testing?
If so, please provide us with details.

I am planning to do some more changes on my dish set and multiswitches soon, and of course I am trying to avoid changing more than one part, hardware or software, at a time, as else any debugging might get pretty hard.
And playing around with the LNBs and cables on the roof should only be done when the weather is acceptable.

Plus, I am awaiting delivery of two DiSEqC 1.1 8/1 switches, on Saturday or Tuesday. Though, this is not weather related, as they are to be placed inside.

Means, all new software tests may be delayed for a couple of days here.

Hi jackjavo,

I installed the new files in my programs\smartdvb folder. On my Technotrend S-2 3200 I had no problem at all tuning in Astra as well as Hotbird channels (incl. via cam/card). As Jürgen wrote, if you are interested in special testings please, leave a note. I will indipendently test the new exe and bda.dev in the fields of scanning and recording. Thx for your hard work!

Last night a did a long test (let Smart run all night ;) ) and when I came back, it stuttered. Restarting helped. That was after 9 hours ... cannot say, when it started.

Edit: The 2,5 hours recording went fine :)

i've been looking at this stuttering (maybe this was also something introduced with the rebuild). Can you see if using the reload video on freeze helps in such cases (as to automatically reload the channel). Also one thing to try would not use timeshift in such case as i have the feeling the problem may lie there. Might be hard to reproduce ofcourse.

I did not use timeshift - it's off all time, as I do not need it. I just recorded a movie late at night.
