Kaspersky TDSSKiller findet und löscht Malware der Rootkit-Familie Win32.TDSS. Die kostenlose Software kommt ohne Installation aus und spürt die Rootkits Tidserv, TDSServ und Alureon auf.

Nach dem Start von Kaspersky TDSSKiller durchforstet die Freeware das System nach oben genannten Rootkits – eine besondere Sorte Viren, die vielen Antiviren-Anwendungen durch die Lappen gehen. Nach dem Scan listet Kaspersky TDSSKiller die verdächtigen Kandidaten in gelb und die gefährlichen in rot auf. Letztgenannte sollte man löschen, die gelben verschiebt man zunächst besser in eine virtuelle Quarantäne.

Fazit

Kaspersky TDSSKiller kümmert sich um eine eng umrissene Schädlings-Spezies, die so manches Antiviren-Programm übersieht. Dank einfacher Benutzerführung spricht eigentlich nichts gegen diesen zusätzlichen Schutz.
