BladeFTP hilft bei Datenübertragungen von und zu Dateiverteilern. Der kostenlose Client erledigt diesen Job optional per Zeitsteuerung und führt Buch zu den erledigten Aufgaben.

Mit dieser so genannten History weist BladeFTP nach, ob Up- oder Downloads ohne manuelles Eingreifen des Users erfolgreich waren oder nicht. Weiterhin entnimmt man diesem Log Start- und Endzeit der Übertragungen sowie das durchschnittliche Tempo.

Darüber hinaus bietet BladeFTP Standards seines Genres wie die Verwaltung mehrerer FTP-Verbindungen. Auch gesichterte SFTP- und SSL-Kanäle lassen sich mit der Freeware öffnen.

Kleiner Tipp zum Wochenende: Steed. Derzeit in der Betaphase befindlicher Client für (S)FTP, Amazon S3 und Azure-Speicher. Lauffähig auch auf Windows 8. Wer viele Accounts auf verschiedenen Servern hat, der kann automatisiert seine Server-Bookmarks mittels Dropbox und SkyDrive synchronisieren. Habe ich heute mal ein bisschen mit rumgespielt und läuft definitiv zufriedenstellend.



Falls also jemand mal einen Blick über den Tellerrand, weg von Filezilla, Cyberduck, WinSCP und Co werfen möchte…

Die Freeware FTP-Watchdog überwacht vorher ausgewählte lokale Verzeichnisse auf Änderungen. Sollten Dateien geändert worden sein, werden diese automatisch zum Server hochgeladen.

Ob es nun Änderungen an einer HTML-Seite sind, oder einfach nur der Upload von Bildern, man muss sich um den Upload nicht mehr kümmern. In der jetzigen Version legt FTP-Watchdog noch keine Verzeichnisse auf einem FTP-Server an.
Man muss also die Verzeichnisstruktur vorher selber auf dem Server anlegen.

Classic FTP erleichert den Dateiaustausch zwischen lokalen und vernetzten Festplatten. Der kostenlose Client bringt unter anderem eine praktische Funktion zum automatischen Abgleich der jeweiligen Inhalte mit.

Dieses Werkzeug prüft, welche Dateien auf dem lokalen sowie dem FTP-Laufwerk vorhanden sind und bringt diese auf Wunsch auf den gleichen Stand. Dabei spielt es für Classic FTP keine Rolle, ob die Dateiübertragung in lokalen Netzwerken, via Internet oder in Richtung externer Festplatten vonstatten geht.

Dank der übersichtlichen, an gängige Dateimanager angelehneten Benutzeroberfläche gestaltet sich die Handhabung des Classic FTP recht unkompliziert. Praktisch zudem: Der FTP-Client legt ein Protokoll zu seinen Aktionen an, welches aber nicht als Log-File irgendwo im System versteckt wird, sondern in Form eines dritten Fensters jederzeit zur Einsicht bereit steht.
