Der sogenannte Legacy Browser Support soll sicherstellen, dass Unternehmensapplikationen, die für alte Browser entwickelt wurden und nicht in Chrome funktionieren, nach der Umstellung auf Chrome weiter genutzt werden können. Chrome sorgt dann dafür, dass die entsprechenden Web-Apps in einem alten Browser wie dem Internet Explorer 6 geöffnet werden. Für alle anderen Webseiten wird hingegen Chrome direkt verwendet.
