FreeFileSync synchronisiert Daten zwischen mehreren Rechnern im gleichen Netzwerk.Außerdem kann man Sicherheitskopien von Ordnern/Dateien auf beliebigen Medien anlegen.Für die Kopiervorgänge kann ein Zeitintervall vorgegeben werden, so muss man sich nicht mehr selber darum kümmern.Auf Wunsch kann FreeFileSync die Backups komprimieren.

Der 7Tokens Manager ist ein kleines Tool, welches die Aktivierungsdaten eures Microsoft-Betriebssystems oder auch von Microsoft Office sichert.



So kann man – nach einer frischen Installation zum Beispiel – die Daten gleich direkt wieder einspielen und so die Software aktivieren. Die aktuelle Version 3 unterstützt nicht nur Windows 7, sondern auch Office 2010.

Windows kann regelmäßig Sicherungspunkte anlegen, so dass man notfalls auf den jeweiligen Status zurückspringen kann. Mit Hilfe eines Tools kann aber auch nur einzelne Dateien extrahieren.

Normalerweise ist eine Systemwiederherstellung absolut. Mit dem kostenlosen Tool System Restore Explorer kann man dieses Problem aber elegant lösen. Die Software kann die jeweiligen gespeicherten Sicherungspunkte ins Dateisystem einbinden und nutzt dazu das Tool AlphaVSS, mit dem man Shadow Volumes einbinden kann.

Ist ein Sicherungspunkt erfolgreich eingebunden, kann man direkt über den Windows Explorer darauf zugreifen und alle notwendigen Informationen kopieren.

Der System Restore Explorer funktioniert mit allen Versionen von Windows, benötigt aber das .Net-Framework.

Ich bin mal wieder bei Evernote für meine Notizen gelandet. Hatte es ein paar Monate nicht benutzt, nun bin ich wieder völlig “drauf”. Alles was so anliegt landet direkt in der Cloud und ist so auf all meinen Rechnern und Geräten verfügbar – Synchronisation sei Dank.

Doch nicht alle vertrauen der Ausfallsicherheit der Cloud und so gibt es auch für Evernote ein Tool, welches in regelmäßigen Abständen die Notizen auf die lokale Festplatte holt. Der Evernote Exporter ist kostenlos und läuft unter Windows.

Backup Service legt Sicherungen von ausgewählten Dateien an und erstellt inkrementelle Backups.Diese Backups können durchsucht werden und einzelne Dateien wieder hergestellt werden.Die Backups können auf Wunsch gepackt, sowie verschlüsselt werden.

Sollte die Software auf einem Notebook angewendet werden, wird im Akkubetrieb das Anlegen von Backups verhindert, damit die Akkulaufzeit nicht verkürzt wird.

Windows kann den Zustand des Systems auf Wunsch sichern. Geht etwas schief, kehrt man einfach wieder zu diesem Punkt zurück. Mit einem kleinen Zusatztool wird das Erstellen dieser Sicherungen deutlich einfacher.

Wer normalerweise einen Sicherungspunkt einrichten will, der muss sich durch mehrere Menüs klicken. Das ist für die meisten Normalnutzer völlig in Ordnung, wer aber regelmäßig entsprechende Punkte erstellt, der sucht bald nach einer schnelleren Lösung.

Hier hilft das Tool Single Click Restore Point, kurz SCRP.exe. Das Utility müssen Sie nicht installieren, sondern kann beispielsweise auf dem Desktop abgelegt werden. Ein Doppelklick darauf erstellt anschließend sofort eine Sicherung - ohne GUI oder Hinweis.

Um auf einen einmal erstellten Punkt zurückzukehren, muss man aber eine Sache beachten: Der relevante Eintrag im Startmenü ist die "Systemwiederherstellung", nicht "Sichern und Wiederherstellen". Letztere hat die Sicherungspunkte gar nicht in der Übersicht.

Das Tool  funktioniert unter allen Versionen von Windows, die das Wiederherstellungsfeature unterstützen.
