Bisher nur als Google-Konkurrent aus China bekannt, steigt Baidu nun auch in die Antivirus-Sparte ein. "Baidu Free Antivirus 2013" ist ein komplett kostenloses Antivirus-Programm, das alle Funktionen eines Vollpreis-Produktes enthält

Gleich bei der Installation fällt "Baidu Free Antivirus 2013" bereits positiv auf. Auf unserem Testsystem war der Antivirus in unter einer Minute einsatzbereit. Ein erster Quick-Scan sucht danach im System-Speicher und anderen kritischen Orten nach akuten Bedrohungen. Über "Full Scan" können Sie Ihren gesamten Computer nach Viren, Trojanern und anderer Malware absuchen lassen. Wenn Sie nur einen Teilbereich oder einen USB-Stick scannen wollen, wählen Sie "Custom Scan".

Als weitere Schutzmaßnahmen sind ein Echtzeitschutz und eine "proaktive Verteidigung" in "Baidu Free Antivirus" eingebaut, die Veränderungen an wichtigen Systemdateien erkennen sollen. Einen Browser-Schutz gibt es für den "Internet Explorer". Nach Herstellerangaben arbeitet "Baidu Free Antivirus" problemlos mit zehn großen Antivirenherstellern zusammen, in den Optionen konnten wir beispielsweise die "Avira Engine" für einen erweiterten Echtzeitschutz aktivieren.

Fazit: "Baidu Free Antivirus 2013" macht einen erstaunlich soliden Eindruck, die Installation ist wirklich schnell und die Systemscans laufen ebenfalls flott.
